Week 2 in Maine

A tiring but productive second week in the wilds of Maine. Mondo Corp is catching my attention as I learn more about them - although two weeks is a short time to make any good judgements. I see to be at the top of my class based on the recent mid-session assessment, so that's good to know.

The moving van arrived earlier than scheduled, which was nice. We were able to unpack and getting things into the storage unit. The most expensive items - like our ridiculously large TV and my husband's tools - are safe and sound here in the house.

For the past two days (and luckily the weekend) it has been gorgeous. This is the reason to move to Maine. On a daily basis I drive past a harbor full of sailboats looking out at the ocean. On the weekends I can come home and sit on the porch looking at the lake. And I've kayaked 2 days in a row - that never would have happened in Minnesota!

Jealous? I would be if I wasn't here already.

Hi Kat,
I am delighted to hear that your "stuff" (ala George Carlin) arrived and your new home is taking shape. I know that's got to be exciting and comforting to you.
I hope that you still enjoy those rides along the coast this coming January! I only was in Maine once, many years ago, and my memory of it starts with the word "beautiful" (it was in July). One day I shall return.
With all best wishes for continued success and happiness,
Bill
